Apple Trees
In February, 2002, Northside Elementary students honored the memory of Barbara Pickett, a long time Waxahachie ISD educator. In her honor two apple trees were planted in the garden courtyard of Northside Elementary School.
Students conducted a ceremony that was attended by students, staff, school officials, friends, and and family members.
Mrs. Pickett taught at Northside Elementary for several years. She will be greatly missed by students and staff members.
